What is Day Care?

Day care is for seniors who need supportive services but do not require round-the-clock professional supervision and care. Our day care program offers care, assistance, and social opportunities to seniors while giving respite to their families and caregivers. With adult day services, seniors with health problems, Alzheimer’s disease, chronic illnesses, or physical disabilities are able to continue to live at home while receiving professional services in a group setting. Involvement in our  day care program can increase a senior’s health, outlook, and chances of remaining in your home.

Our day care provides a safe and caring setting for adults who cannot be left at home alone. At the Colorado Assisted Living, they can socialize with their peers and participate in outings, and activities.

What is Respite Care?

Many caregivers dedicate much or most of their free time to taking care of their elder family member. In an increasingly mobile society where some family members have moved out of the general area, the remaining family member(s) have an increased burden and very little chance to go anywhere, do anything, or even have a family vacation.

Respite care allows caretakers to allow temporary or occasional time off to recoup emotionally, handle other family tasks or get away for awhile.  Respite strengthens the ability of families and primary caregivers to continue to provide care in the home. Occasional relief supports family stability and well-being. Respite is often referred to as a gift of time.

At Colorado Assisted Living we can help. We offer full service respite care on a space available basis, whether you need to be gone for a week or a weekend, a day or a month, your loved one will get the same great care as our regular residents.
